“Over the past year working with Pheonix has truly made a difference in my life. She has created a judgement free, supportive and safe place where I have been able to work through challenges at my own pace. Although I have a long way to go, I can honestly say that I have made progress that I never thought was possible before working with her.”

Getting to know Phoenix Simpson

Hi, my name is Phoenix Simpson. We are fellow travelers on life's paths, and with a commitment to understanding, we can become teachers and guides for each other. The work is often hard, but the reward is worthwhile-to know peace within oneself and bring joy and satisfaction in life, work, and relationships. My approach I have practiced a variety of evidence-based therapies, as well as depth psychology and art therapies. I help clients find their own answers through CBT and creative approaches. Our work integrates many years of practice with an openness to the present client and their unique challenges. My focus I have worked with clients ages 5 to 75 and enjoy a variety of experiences at different ages. I find clients in their late twenties and older to be the individuals most eager to seek help. I am supportive of parents and nonparents alike, as each person navigates their life with their own choices and inner guidance. My communication style The tone of our sessions is clear, open, engaged, and welcoming. I hope clients feel supported whatever transition they are experiencing. My journey to mental healthcare I find the inner landscape of the human mind to be a fascinating and resilient space capable of profound healing. My own personal journey through suffering, addiction, and transformation in my life and those I loved led me to want to know more and, consequently, share what I learned with others. We are creative beings, but we all get stuck and tired at times or encounter a loss that feels unbearable. My goals for you In our first session, we will explore what brings you into therapy, your goals, your cognitive and emotional experience of those goals, and identifiable obstacles to reaching them. We will identify markers for measuring your success in meeting or, sometimes, refining your goals. Education I hold a Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Phoenix has been so amazing with me. I stepped away from therapy for a bit, and coming back to have her help me through some really tough times has been wonderful. She's patient with me, listens to me, and remembers what I've shared. She's someone you want in your corner, and she really advocates for her patients.
