I spent ten years of my professional career as a Clinical Social Worker and Behavioral Therapist working in clinics with autistic children as well as cognitively challenged adults. Additionally, my work involved counseling veterans, immigrants, domestic abuse victims, and advising mothers on family dynamics and supportive structures. I also work with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders who have a history of and/or are at high risk for homelessness, incarceration, and/or institutionalization. My approach I utilize Motivational Interviewing, Problem Solving Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and/or Psychotherapy. My focus I work with all individuals, with a focus on behavioral issues, men's issues, stress, depression, and racial trauma/injustice. My communication style I like to use a peer-style communication with clients to establish a collaborative and therapeutic partnership.
