Rachel Lockhart, LCSW

Rachel Lockhart, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
My approach to therapy is client-centered, focusing on your strengths and goals to guide our collaborative working relationship. Treatment with me is warm, empathic, and compassionate, creating a safe space for you to explore your innermost thoughts and gain insights that support growth and change. With the increased pressures and demands of our world today, coping can be challenging, and it's easy to turn to unhealthy ways to distract or numb yourself. I can support you in processing stressors and unhealthy thought patterns to help you live a more balanced and satisfying life. I assist you in gaining insight, skills, new thought patterns, confidence, and perspective to support your growth and recovery journey, whether you are facing significant life changes, relationship or family-of-origin issues, unprocessed traumas, boundary challenges, low self-esteem, a recent breakup, or identity concerns. Through therapy, you will better identify and understand troubling emotional states and learn tools to manage them healthily. My goal is also to help you understand how your past experiences have shaped you and to support healing from trauma and pain. I have worked with clients diagnosed with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. I use an integrative approach, drawing from several modalities to tailor treatment to your needs. The most common interventions I use include Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT for psychosis, Mindfulness, and DBT-based skills. I hold a Master's in Social Work from San José State University. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you, hear your story, and support you in achieving the goals and quality of life you desire.
