Rachel Masters, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CO
Hi there, I'm Rachel! Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re not sure where to begin. I aim to create a space where you can show up as you are—without pressure to have everything figured out—and feel genuinely understood, respected, and supported. My focus I work with adolescents, families, and adults navigating anxiety, stress, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I also support clients experiencing emotional dysregulation, substance use, family conflict, and feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. My approach My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that you already have what you need to grow and make meaningful changes. I focus on building a strong, genuine therapeutic relationship and tailor sessions to you, using evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing. My communication style My style is warm, engaged, and straightforward. I’ll meet you with curiosity and respect, while also offering honest feedback and gentle challenges when it’s helpful for your growth. My journey to mental healthcare After facing challenges growing up, I felt called to support adolescents and families navigating similar struggles. I'm also drawn to experiential interventions that support growth beyond traditional talk therapy. My work across residential, juvenile probation, substance use, and wilderness settings has shaped my flexible, client-centered approach. My goals for you We'll work together to figure out what you want to change and set goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you. From there, we'll break things into manageable steps, check in on progress, and build skills you can use in everyday life. Our first session We’ll start where you are and go from there, one step at a time. The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin identifying what you’d like to get out of therapy. You can expect a conversational, low-pressure space.
