Hi there, I'm Randall! Randy Higgins, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my master's degree in social work from Loma Linda University where I graduated as an honors student. I believe a trusting relationship is at the heart of effective therapy. My focus at the beginning of therapy is to create a safe, non-judgmental space with you so that our therapeutic relationship can grow. My approach I utilize active listening, compassion, and empathy in the therapeutic process. I create a non-judgmental, safe, and supportive environment for the person to unburden their hurts and concerns. In my extensive experience, I utilize various therapeutic approaches to work with a broad range of hurting people tailored to the individual's needs. The types of therapeutic approaches I could use would be Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered, Solution Focused, Strength Based, and Brief Strategic Therapy. My focus I am a Certified Sex Addiction therapist candidate who received training from Dr. Patrick Carnes. Dr. Carnes is a pioneer in the field of sex addiction. I provide treatment to men and women for porn addiction and sex addiction. I have worked with men, women, and children of all ages. I also have worked with adults who identify with the gay and lesbian population. I have also worked with people with certain personality disorders. I provide treatment for people who are in crisis and who are struggling with anxiety and depression. In addition, I provide therapy for people with grief and loss issues, as well as trauma issues. I provide therapy for substance abuse addiction. I work with people to resolve their anger management issues, and I provide domestic violence prevention education.
