Randi Halcon, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Randi! I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s in Psychology from California Lutheran University and a Bachelor’s from California State University, Northridge. To me, therapy is about navigating how we can become the best versions of ourselves while addressing the challenging parts of life. My approach I use a person-centered approach to help clients feel comfortable and safe. I also incorporate CBT techniques to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns that lead to negative feelings. I am trained in EMDR therapy, which helps address deep-seated beliefs that create false ideas about ourselves, others, or the world. My focus I have spent most of my career working with individuals struggling with substance use or addiction, as well as underlying mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, and trauma. My communication style I aim to make therapy a positive experience by creating a warm, welcoming, non-judgmental, and safe environment. This space allows clients to be vulnerable and address issues that hold us back in life. My journey to mental healthcare Being a therapist has been my dream since middle school. Having a therapist throughout my life strengthened my self-worth and helped me through difficult seasons. I’ve learned much from my clients and want to continue giving back the gift of insight I’ve received. My goals for you I work collaboratively with clients to develop realistic goals attainable during therapy. My first session with you In our first session, I will answer any questions you have about therapy and learn about who you are, what matters to you, and what brings you to therapy.
