Getting to know Rebecca Prine

Hi there, I'm Rebecca! Howdy. My name is Rebecca Prine, and I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles. I truly believe that all human beings have worth and value, although sometimes we may struggle to feel this. As a clinician, I will meet you exactly where you are without blame or judgment. Although I do not hold a crystal ball, I will listen to where you would like your life to be and stay on the path with you as long as it takes to get you there. If you don’t know how you’d like your life to be, that’s OK too—we can figure that out together. My approach My therapeutic approach is human-centered. I start by utilizing motivational interviewing to figure out what is not working in your life and begin developing small, attainable goals you can work towards in order to have the life you want. None of us are perfect; all of us have made choices, both healthy and unhealthy, and with each choice comes a learning opportunity to grow from. My focus I have nearly 20 years of experience providing therapy. I specialize in depression, anxiety/panic, trauma, caregiver burnout, couples therapy, codependency, communication, self-esteem, substance use, and how simply existing in today’s world can be too much. My communication style I hope you’ll find that I am a very laid-back therapist. I use a lot of humor in my work and often laugh at myself. I find that humor can be healing. I strive to create a comfortable, respectful, and safe environment. My journey to mental healthcare Much of my clinical life has been working alongside at-risk and underserved populations. I spent a decade in Skid Row, LA, working with people who were experiencing chronic homelessness and mental health challenges, and I currently work on Native American reservations. I am absolutely honored to be allowed into the lives of so many humans and to be part of the healing process.

Rebecca is wonderful, Truly wants to help people heal.
Rebecca is one of the most caring providers I have had. Even though she is my therapist, she asked me to see different perspectives in my mental health journey. This is a challenge but lets me view the whole picture not just a narrow field of how my brain processes events/situations.
I really enjoy working with Rebecca. But sometimes it seems like she wants to be my friend, and I don’t know if that’s really appropriate for a therapist.
