Hi there, I'm Rebecca! If you're here, something has probably shifted. A loss, a change, a version of yourself that doesn't quite fit anymore, or maybe you just feel stuck. Relief matters, and so does making sure it lasts. My work is about finding steady ground again, and getting at what's really going on underneath. My focus Are you grieving a cherished friend, family member, or beloved pet, or feeling like you've lost a version of yourself? Maybe you're facing anxiety, trauma, or a big life shift, like divorce, a career change, or perimenopause and menopause. I work with women, including trans women, through all of this, helping you find steady ground again. My approach I take a trauma-informed approach, looking past symptoms to what keeps repeating and what's underneath to be processed. I also honor your unique background, including spiritual beliefs and cultural influences important to your well-being. I love incorporating creative expression, mindfulness, or somatic work when talking alone isn't enough. My communication style Expect warmth, honesty, and an attuned presence. I meet you where you're at each session, and there's always room for humor, joy, and happiness, not just the hard stuff. I ask a lot of questions, genuinely curious about your story rather than assuming I already know it, and when something needs to be named, I'll name it, just gently. My journey to mental healthcare It was during COVID, watching so many people struggle and lose loved ones, jobs, and parts of themselves, that I decided to begin this journey. From community mental health, to a small group practice, and now my own private practice, I've come to know that supporting people through loss and difficult transitions is my calling as a therapist. My goals for you Therapy works best as a partnership, so we'll define your goals together: maybe feeling more like yourself again, moving through grief without it running the show, or finding footing after a major life shift.
