Regina Peck-Sobolewski, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
My name is Gina Peck-Sobolewski, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (CA LMFT #46253). I have been licensed since 2008 and hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from National University. I have a variety of specialized treatment skills working with adult clients (ages 18 and up) who may experience depression, anxiety, social issues, trauma, stress, grief, and loss, as well as issues related to life transitions (e.g., relationships, job, etc.). My approach I utilize a cognitive-behavioral approach combined with solution-focused and client-centered techniques. In short, I want you to think and feel differently so that the quality of your life improves. I like to work as quickly as possible so you can get back into your life. I am very client-centered and engage easily with clients. My clients find my approach relatable, realistic, and easy to understand and work with. I believe that thoughts and feelings are related to how we move forward and relate to others in the world. I am very interested in understanding a client's story and how they may come to think and feel about the world and their place in it. Understanding childhood and family of origin dynamics, as well as the "whys" of what we do, is important so that one can develop the insight and awareness needed to live the life they want. My focus I typically work with adult clients who may be struggling in ways we can all relate to. Many of my clients experience sadness, anxiety, or stress related to changes, relationships, grief/loss, or job challenges that may be situational in nature, or they have struggled longer term with these issues and have decided to seek help now. I also see clients who may experience more serious mental health issues such as depression, panic, or PTSD.
