Starting therapy is a huge step towards creating a life you love and don't have to heal from. When you choose to work with me, you will be able to incorporate your spiritual practices into the work we do together. I believe that psychoeducation and integration of coping skills work together to provide real relief from psychological and emotional pain while we work together on healing the root cause of your trauma. I will work collaboratively alongside you to ensure that your treatment aligns with your perspective on life. My therapeutic perspective includes mindfulness work, strengths-based practices, expressive work, depth psychotherapy, and healing through working with dreams as a window into the psyche. I believe that ritual and symbolism work together to deepen the healing process. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is a soul wound. I feel that therapy is both an art and a science, and that it takes both evidence-based practices and deep soul work to process trauma. I am passionate about psychological and spiritual exploration and believe we are all impacted by our environments and the wounds we carry with us. I have worked with individuals, couples, families, children, and veterans. I have experience helping people work through relationship issues, trauma, grief, anxiety, major life transitions, self-esteem, coping skills, and sexual identity. Additionally, I work with monogamous and ENM relationships as well as the LGBTQIA community.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I prioritize creating a safe space for you to communicate your thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental environment. I aim to help you feel heard and understood through a person-centered approach to therapy. I will always value your unique perspective on life and hold space for you to remain the expert on your own healing journey. I chose to become a therapist while seeking my own healing. I encountered healers of all kinds through my travels, including shamans, Reiki masters, and esoteric healers. In Hebrew, the phrase tikkun olam means "repairing the world," which each of these types of healers contributes to in their own ways. Personally, I feel called to work alongside people healing their trauma wounds through both deep soul work and evidence-based practices. I found there is absolutely a time and place to work with esoteric healers, but working with a licensed therapist means you are working with someone who is held to both a legal code and a code of ethics, in addition to the extensive training and experience that comes with the attainment of licensure. You can trust that I hold your psychological and emotional wellness as a top priority in our work together. Nothing is more important to me than your well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Deep healing is achieved through a true client/therapist partnership. We will work together to set achievable goals that are in complete alignment with you. As you gain insights into your healing, your goals may evolve, and we will adapt your treatment in ways that feel empowering and meaningful to you. During our first session, we will start getting to know each other. Our conversations will cover your personal history, especially as it pertains to your current concerns and what brings you to therapy. I will also invite you to ask any questions you have about therapy and what therapy might look like for you. There is no cookie-cutter formula or recipe for healing; each therapeutic journey is as unique as the individual.
