“Rhonda takes her role as a CSAT seriously. She is well-read, focused, takes notes, follows up on previous issues, and asks a lot of Qs. She is naturally curious about getting to know me and what makes me "tick." Sometimes I'm surprised by the depth of insight she has--it seems to come unexpectedly. She is willing to spend time reading homework assignments out of our sessions so that she can come prepared with more Qs--something I've never had a provider offer to do before. Rhonda is top-tier.”

Getting to know Rhonda Bernstein

I'm Rhonda Bernstein and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work and have over 30 years of clinical experience helping clients with a variety of issues including relational problems, trauma, depression, stress and anxiety disorders, life transitions, low self-esteem, partner betrayal, substance abuse, sexual dysfunction, and compulsive behaviors. My approach My therapy is client-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused. I provide both individual and couples therapy. If you choose to work with me you can expect a combination of traditional "talk therapy" informed by emotionally-focused interventions and attachment theory along with cognitive-behavioral strategies, problem-solving techniques, and psychoeducation, tailored to each client's individual needs and goals. My focus Clients frequently contact me due to my expertise in dealing with a range of issues that negatively impact their sexual functioning and pleasure, and if partnered, the couple's sexual health and satisfaction. In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I'm a Certified Sex Therapist credentialed through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist credentialed through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). My communication style I'm committed to providing an affirming and safe space for individuals from all walks of life and self-identification, with special sensitivity to those who embrace marginalized and non-traditional lifestyles, racial, sexual, and gender identities.

I found working with Rhonda to be helpful. However, the work with her ended abruptly and she did not ask for a final close out session or agree to one, as I know most therapists do, nor did she even reply, she just ghosted me.
Rhonda is great at pulling the topics out of me that I have trouble thinking about or coming up with. She also is very good at letting me bring things to the table that I feel I need to discuss. Excellent across a number of areas and has been instrumental with helping me develop good boundaries and also learning to regulate myself emotionally. I really enjoy working with her
