Psychotherapist
CO
I’m George, a therapist dedicated to helping adults and adolescents navigate challenges with mental health and addiction. I provide a supportive, collaborative space where we can explore your experiences, build coping skills, and strengthen self-acceptance. My goal is to help you create balance, resilience, and a life that feels meaningful to you. My approach My approach to care is grounded in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and change when given the right support. I provide a client-centered space, meaning I listen deeply, meet you where you are, and tailor our work to your unique needs and goals rather than taking a “one-size-fits-all” approach. I draw from several evidence-based practices that complement one another. Motivational Interviewing helps us explore ambivalence, clarify our values, and build motivation for the changes we want to see in our lives. Internal Family Systems allows us to connect with and understand different “parts” of you—whether it’s the part that seeks comfort, the part that criticizes, or the part that longs for connection—so you can cultivate compassion for yourself and greater harmony within. I also use Dialectical Behavior Therapy to teach practical tools for managing emotions, improving relationships, and tolerating stress in healthier ways. Mindfulness runs through all of this work, helping you slow down, become present, and create more space between thoughts, feelings, and actions. Therapy with me is a collaborative process. I don’t see myself as the expert on your life; you are. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, skills, and insight to support your journey. Together we’ll create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can feel seen, accepted, and empowered to build a more balanced, fulfilling life.
