Hi there, I'm Robert! I am Robert Barron, LMFT, with 19 years of counseling experience serving clients from youth to elderly adults. I proudly served in the California Army National Guard (Infantry), Active Duty Navy, and Naval Reserves as an Aircrewman. After my military service, I provided counseling to military members and their families at Tripler Army Medical Center and Pearl Harbor Hickam. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from California Baptist University, which deepened my skills and passion for empowering clients, couples, and families to overcome challenges and strengthen relationships. My approach I use an eclectic approach tailored to individual, couples, and family needs, incorporating strength-based methods, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Family Systems. I specialize in counseling clients in high-stress environments such as military, police, first responders, and firefighting. My focus I provide individual, couples, and family counseling to clients from diverse backgrounds, helping them build, restore, and heal from past and current concerns. My goal is to empower clients to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth. My communication style Creating an emotionally safe counseling environment is essential to me. I address client, couple, and family issues with positivity, emphasizing rapport building and trust as the cornerstones of professional counseling. My journey to mental healthcare My path has been diverse: I raced motocross for five years, served 11 years in the military, drove a “big rig” across 48 states and Canada, dug ditches in the desert, and worked as a security guard while completing college coursework. Above all, my greatest accomplishments are being a husband of 35 years and a father to an adult son who is working and in college..
