Psychotherapist
CO
Today's world can be stressful, exhausting, and difficult to manage. We all have our challenges and need help at times. I help clients navigate through barriers that cause symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other emotional problems. My goal is to help you gain insight and learn tools that help you live the best life possible. My approach I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT), and strength-based, solution-focused therapies to reduce negative thoughts and behaviors. I use an eclectic approach, which varies with every client. Together, we can find and utilize what type(s) of therapy are most helpful and productive. My focus I specialize in helping clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. I use a collaborative technique, where we can partner to find the most effective ways to find relief and control. Compassion, empathy, and insight-oriented techniques are used, where you will feel supported and empowered to make positive change. My communication style I prioritize open and honest communication, where there is never judgment and confidentiality is paramount. I use active listening to ensure communication is effective, where the therapeutic relationship improves with each session. I will be a source of calm and a solution for you during your times of stress and sadness. My journey to mental healthcare I did not choose to be a therapist; rather, this career chose me. I experienced trauma and stressors during my childhood, and found at an early age that helping others in distress was a talent I possessed. Decades of working with survivors of trauma and those in emotional distress have shown that positive change is possible. My goals for you Every client has their own life story, experiences, and stressors. Our treatment goals will be carefully identified and implemented as a partnership, where you ultimately have control and input into your journey to a healthier self.
