What should a new client know about working with you?

My communication style is compassionate and direct. I strive to create a welcoming space where you feel heard without judgment and supported without pressure. Clients often describe me as calm, grounding, and approachable—I listen actively, ask thoughtful questions, and reflect your experiences back with care, honesty, and education. Whether we’re addressing deep emotional pain or setting practical goals, I aim to balance empathy with clarity so you feel both safe and empowered throughout our work together. My journey to becoming a therapist consists of various life experiences that aligned to fuel my passion for Social Work. Navigating complex experiences became an area of strength and success. Growing up, I saw firsthand how trauma, cultural expectations, and lack of access to mental health support could impact individuals and families. These experiences inspired me to pursue a career where I could be a supportive, knowledgeable guide for others facing life's challenges. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse roles, all of which deepened my knowledge to serve individuals with complex life experiences. Becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker has allowed me to combine my passion for advocacy, education, and healing into one purpose-driven profession. Today, I’m honored to guide clients on their path to resilience, growth, and emotional wellness.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Goals are developed collaboratively and based on individual needs. I help clients reach their goals by first creating a shared understanding of what’s important to them—whether it's finding relief from anxiety, healing from past trauma, improving relationships, or building self-confidence. Together, we identify realistic, meaningful objectives and break them down into manageable steps. I use evidence-based approaches to guide our work, while simultaneously processing difficult feelings that arise. I believe in celebrating therapeutic victories and adjusting our approach as needed so that your goals remain fulfilling and achievable. I create a supportive, judgment-free space where you can feel safe and seen from the very beginning. In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you—your story, your strengths, and what’s bringing you to therapy. We'll take time to explore your concerns, discuss your goals, and identify what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll also explain how therapy works, answer any questions you may have, and begin building a foundation of trust and collaboration.
