Ryan Crawford, LCSW

Ryan Crawford, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Ryan Crawford, LCSW. I view my role as a therapist as walking alongside you to help you determine what is best for you. I use concepts of Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Supportive Therapy to support you in learning coping skills, increasing your self-esteem, and forming new patterns for a healthier and happier life. I earned my Master's in Social Work from California State University, Sacramento, which laid the foundation for my approach to therapy. My focus is working with adults and teens dealing with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, poor self-esteem, and coping with life transitions. In both my personal life and as a therapist, I am an optimist-supportive, positive, and empathetic. I believe my clients feel accepted, not judged, and able to talk about difficult issues in a relaxed and comfortable environment. I began my education and work in social work because I wanted to help people-a broad but meaningful goal. Key social work principles like self-determination, respect for individual life experiences, and walking alongside clients to overcome obstacles in a non-judgmental way guide my practice. I believe each individual is the expert on themselves, and my role is to empower clients to define and solve their own problems. When it comes to your goals, I follow your lead. I listen carefully to why you began therapy and what you want to achieve, so we can work together toward what matters most to you.
