Getting to know Sabrina Ayoub

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who works with adults navigating anxiety, self-doubt, and relationship patterns shaped by early emotional experiences. My approach is grounded and insight-oriented, focused on building emotional regulation, self-trust, and healthy boundaries so clients can feel more secure and confident. My approach is collaborative, insight-oriented, and practical. I use a psychodynamic lens to understand past patterns and cognitive behavioral strategies to address thoughts, emotions, and triggers. I’m client-centered yet direct, offering feedback and tools to support clarity, emotional regulation, and meaningful change. I typically work with adults navigating anxiety, self-doubt, and relationship challenges rooted in early emotional experiences. I’m most comfortable supporting clients struggling with low self-esteem, limiting beliefs, boundary difficulties, and emotional overwhelm who are motivated to build self-trust and healthier patterns.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My communication style is warm, grounded, and honest. I create a space where clients feel understood and met where they are, while also offering balanced feedback and accountability. Sessions are collaborative and reflective, with room to explore openly and gently challenge patterns that may be holding you back. I was drawn to this work through my own experience of personal growth and the value of engaging in therapy with trusted professionals. I’m driven by the clarity, confidence, and meaningful change that can come from doing the work, and I’m passionate about helping clients reach that same sense of grounding and self-trust.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I approach goal setting as a collaborative and flexible process. Early sessions focus on understanding your history and current concerns, then clarifying what you want to gain from therapy. Goals are revisited and adjusted over time, with regular check-ins to ensure we stay aligned and working toward meaningful progress. In our first session, we’ll review important information about therapy, including confidentiality and policies, and I’ll share a bit about my background. I’ll then take time to understand your history and current concerns, and we’ll begin collaborating on a treatment plan that feels clear and aligned.
