Getting to know Sandra Rohde

Seeking therapy is a courageous and powerful step toward understanding yourself, addressing emotional challenges, and building the skills to lead a more fulfilling life. Whatever difficulties life throws your way, therapy can provide a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I can help you consider new perspectives, develop coping strategies, and gain insight into the underlying causes of emotional pain. Together, we can help you build resilience while working through past or present struggles in a compassionate, non-judgmental way. Choosing therapy is not a sign of weakness, but a proactive choice and commitment to leading a more meaningful life. My approach My therapeutic approach includes EMDR, CBT, and DBT. If you are interested in pursuing EMDR, I have found this approach to be especially effective. You will process targets that you have identified throughout your life, which may be causing you pain in the present. Many times, these hurts continue to build and remain repressed until they start to have a significant impact on your current functioning. Periods of high stress can add to your vulnerability to these past hurts. My role as a therapist is to facilitate your healing. Whether it is through EMDR or with the coping strategies of CBT and DBT, we will partner in designing a treatment plan to address your needs. My focus Have you been struggling with anxious thoughts and self-doubt? I work with teens and adults who are managing anxiety, life transitions, and those seeking support for self-esteem issues. Whether you’re working through trauma, building coping skills, or exploring your personal goals, I’ll work with you to create a growth plan that feels empowering and achievable. My communication style Therapy is your time to be heard. I will patiently listen without judgment and help you reflect and process your feelings and beliefs.
