Sani Patel, LMFT

Sani Patel, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
This is my first career and something I have always been drawn to; my journey is a thorough reflection of why I work in this field. My path to becoming a licensed therapist was very intuitive-based; I went through experiences of pain, guilt, shame, loss of self, and the loss of my overall sense of life. Through my journey, I was able to understand pain and trauma, embracing many spiritual remedies while turning my pain into passion, my passion into purpose, and my purpose into power as a healer. Alongside my personal experiences, I earned a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from California Southern University, which deepened my understanding of the educational aspects of pain, trauma, and healing. Having faced painful and challenging moments myself, I bring a higher purpose for self and meaning of life to my work. I am highly intuitive, empathic, gentle, and calm, and I am a good listener and healer. I have worked in addiction, with children who have autism and intellectual disabilities, PTSD, anxiety, depression, life coaching, spirituality, and connecting to the higher self.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In terms of the intake, I like to go through in depth processing of current symptoms to begin identifying current functioning, supports/resources/internal strengths and coping to start working from inside out to find space for healing through the self. From there, I like to go into the initial session to complete the assessment along with identifying what we are looking to target and heal during the therapeutic process. Then, we go into sessions and begin working from the ground up, identifying blockages, triggers, conflicts, self-development issues, grounding techniques, coping skills, structure, and anything else that is brought into the session. I enjoy working with anxiety, depression, PTSD, life coaching, addiction, autism, spirituality, and connecting to the higher self for healing.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
