Hi there, I'm Sarabeth! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy in North Carolina. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Western Carolina University. I have experience working with people facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. My approach to therapy is client-centered and based on the belief that every person has the potential to access transformative powers of healing within themselves and to live fully. My approach I practice client-centered therapy, which means that the client’s experience is deeply respected and that clients determine what they want to work on and how. My role is to provide compassionate support and assist you as you realize your goals. I use evidence-based practices such as Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness practices, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Therapeutic techniques are tailored to the unique strengths, needs, and growth potential of each individual client. My focus I currently work with teenagers and adults of all ages. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. My communication style I aim to provide a calm environment that promotes reflection and ease. I naturally adjust my communication style to match the people I am working with. I am an avid listener and will request feedback to ensure I am getting the whole picture. My journey to mental healthcare Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years studying Buddhist psychology and yoga. I worked in a variety of helping professions and have been repeatedly amazed by the deep capacity for healing and grace present within the human mind. I care deeply for others and have found therapy to be a fulfilling and life-affirming way to be of service. I believe that deeply listening and arriving in the present moment with compassion enables transformative healing in those I work with.
