Hi there, I'm Shauna! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Art Therapist with a Master's in Therapy and Counseling from Southwestern College. I am strengths-based and person-centered. I am passionate about assisting each client in their unique process of discovering their insights and strengths to help them navigate the primary issues that have brought them to therapy. My approach I am a trauma-informed therapist and utilize an eclectic approach, drawing from Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral, and Acceptance Commitment therapy methods. My focus I work with clients experiencing life stressors during times of transition, grief, change, loss, and adjustment. I also support clients dealing with depression, anxiety, or issues related to trauma. My communication style My goal is to create a safe, accepting, and trusting environment for my clients. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been passionate about the human experience and each individual's own innate wisdom and healing abilities that can be accessed through self-exploration, creativity, and unconditional positive regard. My goals for you I approach goal setting with clients by creating intentions and small, manageable action steps. My first session with you During the first session, I will ask a lot of questions about your life experiences and relationships, and what is bringing you to therapy at this point in time. We will then set your goals and intentions and create a roadmap for our work together.
