Stacie Gilmore, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CO
Hello! My name is Stacie Gilmore, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Denver. My approach to therapy is to utilize positive therapy techniques that focus on strengths to help clients grow. The most common therapeutic approach I use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I am most comfortable supporting children, youth, teens, and adults. I really enjoy getting to know you as a person first before diving into treatment right off the bat. This allows you to gauge your comfort level with me and see if I am a good fit for you! I have always had a passion for helping people and knew this since I was a kid. This was not an easy path for me to come to, but I truly enjoy helping people work through and problem-solve difficult situations together. It can be really tough and scary to work through difficult feelings and situations where you feel like you are "on your own" or that others don't understand how you feel or your perspective. I have lots of experience working with children and their families, and I also support kids full time in an elementary school setting. Please expect the first session to be about getting to know one another and seeing if I am a good fit for your needs! I know it can be SUPER difficult to open up to a total stranger, and I want to ensure you feel comfortable engaging and talking with me before jumping into things.
