Stacy Cordero, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Stacy! I am excited to introduce myself to you. My name is Stacy Cordero, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, #142545. I earned my Master's in Counseling from National University. Beginning therapy can feel uncomfortable, so I consider it my responsibility to create a safe space where we can build a therapeutic relationship founded on trust and mutual respect. My approach You are your own expert. As a therapist, I am here to walk alongside you as you navigate your journey. I am truly eclectic in my approach because I believe I serve clients best when I meet them where they are. I am client-focused and draw from multiple theoretical approaches to support each person as a unique individual. My focus I have an extensive background working with individuals affected by relationship challenges. Our connections to others are complex and vital throughout our lives-no matter how young or how old. My communication style Whether in session, in a hallway with coworkers, in a high-stakes meeting, or with family and friends, I work hard to be authentic in my words and actions. I am direct, honest, sometimes awkward, and tend to be goofy. Feeling comfortable in communication is important in therapy so we can verbalize the thoughts and feelings we often work hard to conceal from the world. My journey to mental healthcare I am naturally curious about people, what motivates behavior, and I want to understand the why. Throughout my life, I have been drawn to people and fascinated by the power of relational connection. I believe all individuals deserve to be heard and seen for who they are. My goals for you I meet clients where they are, and we go from there. It's important to set goals that are healthy, manageable, and attainable. I want to understand why a goal matters to you-to explore what it represents.
