Getting to know Star Haley Baird

I am an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) with over 19 years of experience in mental health and have been licensed since 2010. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Michigan and completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Washington. Throughout my career, I have worked in crisis behavioral health hospitals with both adults and adolescents, outpatient community mental health clinics, and hospice settings. I also have experience at the University of Michigan counseling center, supporting undergraduate and graduate students. My expertise includes relationship and communication issues, trauma work, infertility and miscarriage counseling, parenting, grief work, life transitions, depression, and anxiety.

I offer patience, openness, curiosity, and expertise to help you work through your concerns and make the changes you need. During our sessions, you can expect to be listened to with empathy and compassion. I will help guide you to become the best version of yourself and to find your own voice as you work toward finding solutions.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
