Getting to know Stephanie Adams

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California and have been in this field for 5 years. I have worked with young and older adults and specialize in anxiety, depression, and loneliness. My approach I meet clients where they are, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based Practices, and Psychodynamic Therapy as evidence-based tools to build a shared understanding and work toward emotionally healthy healing and performance. My focus My style suits early or middle-aged adults dealing with complex issues, relationships, or stressful, life-changing events. I help clients build confidence and develop a more positive outlook on life. My communication style I am calm, thorough, transparent, and personable. I want clients to feel comfortable talking about anything and listen without judgment. My journey to therapy I became a therapist because talking and problem-solving with a trusted person positively impacted my life. I hope to be that person who helps others make great changes. My goals for you I work with clients to solve problems or make changes by building trust and comfort in therapy. We track progress and set new goals over time together. My first session with you In our first session, we'll talk about how you've been feeling, with me asking questions to understand why and listening. It's about building an initial connection and exploring where you want to go from there.
