Stephanie Holder, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Stephanie! My approach to therapy is holistic and fluid, depending on what is right for each client, and I use evidence-based practices. My areas of practice include supporting people through periods of transition, loss/grief, depression, and/or anxiety, and supporting them in personal goals. Typically, this includes improving relationships with themselves and others, working toward a better quality of life, and creating meaning in life experiences. LCSW. My approach I utilize evidenced based approaches such as Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and Motivational interviewing (MI). I'm fairly eclectic and weave in practices including mindfulness, person-centered therapy, and narrative approaches. My focus I typically work with adult clients of all genders and have experience working with people in the LGBTQA community, recovery community, and various racial and cultural backgrounds. I am open to working with individuals in an outpatient setting who are coping with depression/anxiety, family issues, mood disorders, relationship problems, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, ASD, Adjustment Disorders, and various other concerns. My communication style I create a calming and welcoming space, that allows clients to relax and develop trust with me as their clinician. I work from a non-judgmental and accepting personal platform and often use humor to connect with clients. I hope that my clients feel safe and comfortable sharing their true selves while in therapy sessions. My journey to mental healthcare My background is in social work, and I began professionally working with children and families involved in child welfare systems and adoption. While that was very rewarding work, I wanted to spend time developing deeper therapeutic relationships with my clients and supporting them in their goals. I'm driven to support positive changes in my clients' lives and (as cheesy as it sounds), hopefully, this makes this world a little better.
