Psychotherapist
CO
Hi there, I'm Stephanie! Welcome! My name is Settie Phillips. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, EMDR trained, and a member in good standing of the American Counseling Association and Colorado Counseling Association. I received my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. My approach My approach to therapy is empowering, engaged, and evidence-based. I recognize you as the expert on your own experience and work with you to establish your goals and direction for treatment. I believe that therapy is brave, real work and I am proud of you for doing it! I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), parts work, and somatic approaches, but the most important element of effective therapy is our relationship and I will get to know you so I can offer the support you need. My focus My areas of expertise/interest include personality disorder abuse, divorce, couples, complex trauma, and co-parenting. My communication style In our sessions, I create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions. I believe in a collaborative approach where you lead the conversation, and my role is to listen, guide, and gently challenge you when needed to help you grow and achieve your goals. While I’m here to offer support and empathy, I also encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone and take action toward meaningful change. I often offer “homework” between sessions to help you apply what we discuss and keep the momentum going, as I believe real progress happens outside of the therapy room. Ultimately, my goal is to help you feel empowered and confident in taking the next steps on your journey, knowing I’m here to support you every step of the way.
