Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Stephanie! I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. I have a strong interest in helping people navigate relationship issues, life transitions, and the impacts of trauma. My approach I am a trauma-informed therapist who provides strength- and resilience-based therapy to individuals and couples. I have training in Emotion Focused Therapy, Gottman Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Trauma-Informed LGBTQ+ Care, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training. My focus I have extensive experience working with survivors of childhood abuse and neglect, domestic violence, PTSD, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, military populations, and LGBTQ+ clients. I also bring lived experience recovering from childhood abuse, complex trauma, grief, addiction, economic hardship, and relationship challenges. My communication style I believe safe relationships are the foundation for mental health. I offer empathy, safety, compassion, respect, and perspective while helping you explore and improve your relationship with yourself, others, and the world at large. My journey to mental healthcare I discovered therapy as a freshman in college. Since then, therapists have been instrumental in my personal healing and growth. Eventually, I realized I possessed the skills and desire to offer the same help and guidance that was given so graciously to me. My goals for you I work collaboratively with my clients to help them set meaningful therapy goals. My first session with you Our first session will focus on building a safe relationship, exploring current issues and goals, and reviewing some basic history to create a solid foundation for our work together.
