Getting to know Susan Urtz

I am a licensed therapist with Meru Health. In just 12 weeks, the duration of our program, you will build skills to reduce stress, alleviate anxiety, and better manage uncomfortable emotions. I'll support you through unlimited chat messaging and scheduled video calls throughout this journey. I hold a Master's in Counseling and Human Development from Troy University and have over twenty-five years of counseling experience promoting constructive solutions that lead clients to live more positive and productive lives. I have worked with clients to address a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, low self-esteem, and family conflict. As a therapist, I strive to provide my clients with a consistent level of compassion and support, always respecting their diversity and life experiences. I utilize a whole-person approach, implementing cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness to assist clients in reaching their identified goals. Outside of work, you might find me enjoying the water or cheering on my favorite sports teams (Go Florida Gators!). I firmly believe that in life we always have some form of control, including the ability to change the things that are not working for us.
