Hi there, I'm Suzanne! Hello, my name is Suzanne Katanic, and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist. I earned my Master's in Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I became a therapist as a natural offshoot of my personal process of understanding and healing my relationship with myself, my childhood, and my inner child. My approach I am a licensed integral psychotherapist trained in a humanistic approach, with a relational, strength-based, and depth perspective. My focus I work with children between the ages of 4-11 years old using play therapy and imagination to reveal the child's experience of their world through story and symbols. By listening with this “third ear,” the adults in the child's life can better understand, translate, and support the child's needs and processes. My communication style My communication style is reflective, strength-based, and humanistic. My goals for you I meet with family caregivers to understand the family system and the patterns between members. From there, we set goals to create and maintain a balance between each member and their assigned roles within the family. My first session with you During our first session, I will seek to understand what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. Together, we will create a treatment plan that reflects these perspectives.
