CA
Hi there, I'm Sylvia! My approach is recognizing you are the expert in you. Together, we can set goals or work on whatever you need support with at the moment. LPCC 15122. My approach I use CBT, DBT, inner child work, solution-focused, and person-centered approaches. My focus I work with elementary-aged kids and families, teens, and adults for issues with anxiety, depression, loss, abuse, ptsd, ADHD, and more. I also offer Christian support in session if requested. You can love Jesus and have a Therapist too. My communication style I try to help people feel comfortable talking about whatever. You don't need to be perfect, I'm not. Whatever is happening, I try my best to walk alongside you in your journey with support, coping skills to try, and possible solutions. My journey to mental healthcare I love helping people find self-acceptance, improve relationships, use their voices, build lives they love, and end generational trauma. These are all things I also work towards personally, so being able to help others in their journeys is a great honor for me. My goals for you Goals are great, but sometimes things happen, and we just need to talk about those things, too! My first session with you The first session will be a review of your current issues, risk assessment, past issues, and family history, with some basics on goals. This helps me get to know you now, where you're coming from, and what you want to gain from therapy.
