Getting to know Tarah Al-Haise

Hi, I’m Tarah. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. I earned my Master of Science in Counseling: Concentration in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from San Francisco State University. I have a background working in community mental health, schools, and non-profits and am excited to now be able to assist a broader range of individuals working in telehealth. I am passionate about working with individuals from various walks of life and diverse cultural background. I meet clients where they are with a genuine and non-judgmental approach to help move them in the direction they wish to go in. I am passionate about working with others and honored to be a part of people's therapeutic journeys.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our first session will be about getting to know you. It is important that we both feel we are a good fit, as the therapeutic relationship is important for the efficacy of therapy. We will also use this session to determine our goals with therapy. To assist with these goals, I like to assign “homework” in between sessions to put what we have discussed into practice in real life situations. I believe therapy is an amazing resource and can be extremely beneficial, but I do not believe it should ongoing lifelong. People come to therapy for insight, support, and tools. My hope is to help you be able to confidently implement what was learned in therapy in your daily life, knowing my door is always open for any challenge or life change you might need support with.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
