Taryne Mingo, LCMHC

Psychotherapist
NC
Hi there, I'm Taryne! I am excited to work with you on your next steps towards wellness. I recognize that counseling is an intensely personal decision and that you may have questions about my background and approach, as well as questions pertaining to other, more practical implications of our work together. I received my doctorate from the University of Georgia in 2015. I have a background in school counseling prior to pursuing my counseling license in 2017. Now I provide tele-therapy to adults in Georgia, Missouri, and North Carolina. My approach My approach to counseling is decidedly grounded in respect for the person and her/his capacities and potential. I recognize that external resources are sometimes necessary and will consult or refer as needed to maximize benefit for the client(s). I have received additional training in working with expressive arts in therapy and mindfulness practice in counseling, so these resources will be available in our work as they are facilitative of your process. My focus Are you looking for a new job, navigating a new career, or having difficulty managing stress in your current position? Are you navigating stress while caring for a loved one, child, or aging parent? I work with both individuals and couples who are navigating life transitions pertaining to careers and/or caring for a loved one. I also have a history of supporting couples who need support reconnecting with one another or learning a new way of co-parenting after separation/divorce. My communication style I prioritize honest, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. My journey to mental healthcare My journey into therapy began with a career in professional school counseling, focusing specifically on the social/emotional, academic, and career needs of students and their families.
