Hello, my name is Teri Hedman, and I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from the University of California, Berkeley. I take a holistic approach to healing and would love to partner with you on your journey.
I value warmth and authenticity in my work. I hold an open, curious, and non-judgmental stance with a healthy dose of compassion and the right use of humor. I strive to be honest and straightforward, which may mean saying the things that are hard to hear. I don't pretend to have all the answers or be the expert on your life. Instead, I aim to support you in finding the wisdom inside yourself.
I believe that our struggles and our gifts are two sides of the same coin. The more ?lead? we have, the more ?gold? is possible to alchemize. I have walked my own path of healing and am driven to support others in finding the same liberation it provides.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other and make sure working together is a fit for you. I will collect some history and get a sense of the larger “map” or “landscape” of your life so we can build out what your healing path may look like.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
