Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Traci! Hello, I am Traci Williams (LPC2105), and I have worked in the education and nonprofit industry for over 30 years, providing me with a background in serving children, youth, and families. My approach is grounded in the belief in hope and the ability to overcome adversity by examining the experiences that influence our thinking and capacity to move forward. Family history and trauma impact us, but with proper support and understanding, we all have the potential to succeed and find peace. My approach My theoretical approach includes family systems, person-centered perspectives, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy. My focus I am most comfortable working with children, youth, and adults who are open to developing a trusting relationship with their therapist. These clients are often navigating life transitions and need the support of an unbiased, nonjudgmental perspective. My communication style I offer a warm, welcoming environment where I help clients develop trust and feel assured they are with a nonjudgmental, positive therapist who demonstrates unconditional positive regard as we navigate their journey toward their goals. My journey to therapy I am driven by a desire to connect with others and help them process challenges that may inhibit their growth. As a young woman, I was often told I was a good listener and enjoyed helping friends and family grow and become healthier, so I knew this was the right career for me. My goals for you I am very client-centered and allow clients to indicate what they hope to accomplish during our sessions so we can track growth and progress. My first session with you We will spend time discussing what brings you to therapy, share your priorities in seeking support, and review the rules of confidentiality.
