Getting to know Trisha Andrews

I'm guessing you're here because your life and your relationships don't look or feel the way you imagined they would. Do you find the relational tension between you and your partner is killing your libido but are scared to bring it up? Did your sex life used to feel effortless but now it feels obligatory, routine, and unsatisfying? Maybe you feel more like roommates than lovers with your spouse? Is the disconnection in your marriage spilling over into other parts of your life, leaving you with little capacity for patience or joy with your kids, work, or friends? If this resonates-I see you, I get you, and I want to help you! Sex and communication issues are common in relationships. They look different in every relationship-what's universal is that none of us came with a manual for our partner to understand our pleasure centers or our trigger points. With a sex-positive, attachment-based approach, I can help you gain an understanding of what turns you on and what sets you off. I understand and appreciate that life is HARD! You are overwhelmed with work, parenting, relationship distress, and grief over what life should be. These factors all impact our desire for sex and intimacy. The reality is that sex is an intrinsic part of being human, and we all deserve pleasure and connection. As a sex and relationship expert with a Master's in Couple and Family Therapy from Adler University and a Master's in Communication from Northwestern University, I help my clients gain insight into how their individual roles, thought patterns, reactions, and behaviors impact the intimacy and connection in their relationship. I teach my clients how to reconnect more effectively and authentically by listening to understand and speaking to be heard. I would love to help you find more joy and balance.

I was and continue to be elated with Trisha Andrews professionalism and insightful counseling. Trisha has been able to guide me with her knowledge and empathy so that I could better understand myself, the people around me and the relationships I have. I would highly recommend Trisha to anyone who is seeking clarity, compassion and respect.
Having met with a number of therapists, I was happy to learn that Trisha provided a great fit for my needs. I was concerned that I would not be able to find someone to help me work through what I considered to be a set of incredibly complex, multi-layered issues. Trisha proved to be an excellent active listener, adaptive communicator, and--what impressed me the most--she is able to bring confidence as well as humility when it comes to serving her clients. She showed this when she requested to take a short period of time to reflect and adjust her approach to better suit my needs. I honestly had never experienced that with a therapist before and have since been very grateful for her effort. Because of her decision, I've noticed growth in reputably challenging areas of my life as a result of our continued work together. Her relational input and guidance has left me feeling more confident in myself as an individual, which was a refreshing change. She also places an emphasis on developing a greater sense of "self" (without saying so outright) which after 8+ years of therapy, I have found can be a tricky balance to strike in sessions. You might expect therapists to be mindful and empathetic, but not all are. Trisha thankfully fulfills those roles while also offering challenges when appropriate. I can say with certainty, I am genuinely grateful to have found Trisha, as she quickly became a very necessary addition in my therapeutic journey to a better well-being.
