My name is Tyler Flynn, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Los Angeles, California, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Northridge. I work with adults and specialize in anxiety, stress, and depression, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help my clients make progress and start feeling better. I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for adults dealing with life transitions, communication challenges, boundary-setting issues, and difficulties processing emotions. These often present as anxiety, depression, and stress. I work to help my clients navigate these transitions and build skills that enable them to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life.

My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment.

My approach to goal setting is collaborative, working together to define what you want to accomplish during our time together. This often begins by building trust and getting comfortable with what therapy means. Over time, we’ll set goals and track your progress.
My first session with you
In our first session, we will spend most of the time discussing how you’ve been feeling recently, and I will ask questions to better understand some of the reasons behind those feelings. The first session is about building an initial connection.
