My name is Tyler Staverman. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker clinician for mental health who works with adults and teens in Sanford, NC. I earned my master's degree in Social Work at North Carolina State University and my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I am a veteran (formerly a Medic in the US Army) and specialize in working with veteran populations as well as active service members and their family members. I also work with the general adult population and teens. The therapies I use are Cognitive Behavioral-based, including Motivational Interviewing and Person-Centered Humanistic therapy. I strive to build positive relationships with my clients that lead to personal growth and a generally better sense of well-being. Most people run into problems sometime during their lifetime.
