Starting therapy can be challenging. I congratulate you on starting your journey, and I’m here to make sure that it is meaningful to you. I work well with individuals navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, and substance use struggles. I take a client-centered, collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring each session to your unique needs. My approach I use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns. This approach is hands-on and teaches you the interconnection of your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. I will adapt my approach to meet your unique needs. Your goals and progress are my primary concern. My focus Do you struggle with self-esteem, motivation, life transitions, and understanding your emotions? Anything you are experiencing, you don't have to figure things out alone. Together, we'll explore your daily challenges with non-judgement at your pace. My communication style My main goal is to allow you a space of comfort. I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to have the space to be uniquely yourself. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient. My journey to mental healthcare My passion for mental health started with substance use after seeing family and community members struggling with the cycle of addiction and incarceration. I have had the opportunity to provide crisis intervention and therapy to dually diagnosed individuals. These experiences have shown me the positivity of therapy in recovery and mental wellness.
