“Uchechukwu was very quick to read our situation, she empathizes with both me (the parent) and my daughter when we are in session together. She has a great ability to connect with my daughter, even when she has completely shut down to zero. She's very patient and has seen a lot as a Social worker.”

“I’ve had one meeting so far. I felt comfortable throughout the meeting, which has not been my typical first-time experience seeing therapists. I’m excited for the continuing support and growth!”

Getting to know Uchechukwu Alozie

My name is Uchechi Alozie, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from California State University, San Bernardino. My approach to therapy involves seeing my clients within their environment, not just focusing on the issues they present. I strive to aid my clients holistically. I have worked with family units for more than 10 years and with individuals experiencing chronic mental illness for 6 years. My goal is to help clients by understanding what influences and impacts them in their environment rather than looking solely at the presenting issues. My approach I believe in solution-focused therapy and motivating clients to use skills they have acquired in the past that have worked well for them. My goal is to empower clients to realize they have the power for positive change. My focus I am experienced in working with families with different dynamics. With a background in child welfare services, I am very familiar with trauma stemming from familial interpersonal relationships. I have also worked in an inpatient psychiatric setting with individuals suffering from debilitating chronic mental illness. My communication style I am energetic and motivating. My goal for clients is for them to see incremental improvement in their lives, both in anticipated and unexpected ways. My goals for you The client is at the center of setting goals. I will go where the client is willing to start and guide as needed.
