Maybe you're a high-achieving, goal-driven teen, and you’ve noticed a recent shift in your mood that seems unlikely for you. Maybe you are a college student trying to balance life stressors and expectations from loved ones. Navigating big transitional stages like changing friendships, changing schools, and figuring out adulthood can be difficult, not to mention the socio-cultural stressors that you may be dealing with. Sometimes we can feel alone in these struggles even while surrounded by people. I’m here to provide the support and tools you need to continue on your journey with confidence. If you're feeling ready to get back to yourself or start anew, I’m here to help! My approach I believe that we can regain control of our thoughts and emotions and take back the driver's seat in our lives. By utilizing DBT and CBT, I will help you learn skills to navigate life’s challenges, while incorporating a strengths-based, client-centered approach, which allows us to mold our sessions to fit your needs best. My focus My experience has been focused on working with BIPOC preteens, teens, foster youth, and transitional age adults who deal with managing anxiety, depression, racial stressors, life transitions, interpersonal relationships, low self-esteem, and self-doubt. I work with clients on developing a well rounded toolbox equipped with things like communication techniques, healthy boundary setting tools, and realistic self & soul care strategies. My communication style I utilize active and reflective listening while you share and explore various experiences you have had, and hope for yourself in the future. I believe in a collaborative approach that has your goals at the center while offering clear feedback. I hope to provide a non-judgmental space where you feel safe to work through various stressors while being your authentic self.
