Vanessa Uribe, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Vanessa! Hello, my name is Vanessa Uribe. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a Master’s in Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Phoenix. I have been practicing for the past 12 years, working with children, families, and adults in both individual and group therapy settings. I have extensive experience providing therapy for individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, work stress, and relationship problems. I help support individuals in reframing negative thoughts and developing healthy tools to overcome any barriers they may be facing. My approach I provide support using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and solution-focused practices. My focus I work with adults who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, work stress, and relationship problems. At this moment, I feel most comfortable working in telehealth. My communication style I really try my best to provide a warm and calming environment so my clients feel safe and secure enough to be vulnerable and open up about any difficulties they may be facing. I believe it is essential for clients to build a good rapport with their therapist to get the help they need to heal. My journey to mental healthcare I have 12 years of experience providing therapy. I started working with children ages 0-7 and then moved on to working with adults in individual and group settings. I really enjoy working with individuals who want to improve themselves and become better versions of who they are. I believe in being a support system for those in need so they can heal and move on to thrive. My goals for you I ask clients what is important to them in getting support, what they want to improve, and together we develop goals as a team. My first session with you In our first session, I will ask a lot of questions about you—work, stress, relationships, hobbies, family history—and together we will develop treatment goals.
