Being a new mom and balancing it all can leave you feeling depleted and stuck. Your own body and time don’t seem to belong to you, and your well-being is always on the backburner. You feel isolated, disconnected, and lonely. You don’t feel like yourself anymore, and things just don’t feel right. Nobody really understands what you are going through. Anxiety and depression during pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, or pregnancy loss can feel debilitating. It is so important to get support from a professional who truly understands. With the right support, you can finally find relief from your emotional pain and get your life back. I have experience working with parents and professionals dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, postpartum issues, infertility, pregnancy loss, and past unaddressed trauma. I am a trained trauma therapist (EMDR) and have special training with Postpartum Support International. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from National University, which informs my compassionate and evidence-based approach to care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During the first few sessions, I will take time to understand your needs and challenges that have brought you to therapy. In most cases, it is beneficial to take time to learn about your background and history and to get a good picture of what has been happening in your life that is holding you back. However, sometimes people need to jump right in and discuss a pressing issue. After the initial few sessions, we will discuss my suggestions for you treatment going forward including your goals. Once we established a common thread, we will get right into working on developing the tools your need or addressing your past that is still haunting you.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
