Getting to know Veronica Ewart

Hi there, I'm Veronica! Hi, I’m Veronica Ewart, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a BSW and MSW from California State University, Chico. I consider myself to be a holistic, trauma-informed, and solution-focused therapist. I am highly trained in complex trauma practices, with special interests in childhood trauma. I am also an addiction-informed therapist. l love helping people process their trauma and overcome their current circumstances to go on and live their best lives. My approach My approach as a therapist is to be mindful of the Mind/Body/Spirit connection, as I believe treating the whole being is crucial. With this, I use many modalities like CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, emotional and solution-focused therapy. I use these in a natural way that feels more personable. My focus I enjoy working with people who have experienced trauma and are currently dealing with symptoms that impact their quality of life. I have worked with many adolescents, young adults, and elders in life who suffer from anxiety, depression, PTSD, and unworthiness. I have also worked with veterans and the geriatric population. In addition, I enjoy educating and coaching people through major life changes and providing support with grief and loss. My communication style My style is warm, collaborative, and supportive with a little bit of humor. I try to communicate in the way that best supports the client’s healing, whether they are most comfortable with directness or softness but still remain transparent. I work to build a safe space where my clients can show up as their authentic selves and express themselves no matter their current emotions. I don’t police language and want people to just be themselves. My journey to therapy I have been a Social Worker for over 14 years and a therapist for almost 5. I grew up in the CA foster care system and wanted to make a difference in the systems I experienced firsthand.
