Getting to know Vicky Cerezo

Hi there, I'm Vicky ! I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. Thank you for considering my support in your journey to wellness and self-discovery. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where we work together toward your goals to create more clarity, purpose, and fulfillment. My approach Using a blend of evidence-based approaches - including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Complicated Grief Therapy (CGT), Dialectical (DBT), Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Strength-Based, and Trauma informed - I will help you gain insight, develop practical coping strategies, and build on your strengths to navigate life’s challenges with confidence. I may adapt my approach, which is a natural part of the process, in order to meet your needs and support your goals. My focus You deserve a space to be yourself, where you are understood and genuinely seen. I work with individuals who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected—whether due to anxiety, poor work-life balance, expectations, relationship challenges, or life transitions. My communication style My communication style is warm, collaborative, and focused on creating a safe space for open dialogue. I ask thoughtful questions to understand your unique perspective and tailor my approach to your needs. I listen to more than your words; I focus on the emotions and experiences behind them. Through supportive and honest conversation, we'll work together to find clarity and solutions that resonate with you. My journey to mental healthcare I've always been a compassionate person, and my journey to becoming a therapist is rooted in both personal experience and a deep desire to facilitate personal growth and offer meaningful support. Specifically, an influential experience that drew me to the field of mental health was when my brother went through a life-changing accident, and I needed support to navigate its impact on myself and my family.

Vicky is AMAZING! She's honest, thoughtful, and caring. She truly cares about her clients and makes them feel super comfortable within the first few visits. I've gone through a few therapists before Vicky and she's the one that definitely stuck. She makes you feel seen and heard. Anyone that gets to work with her will see that you can experience personal growth through her care and guidance no matter what your therapy goals are.
Vicky provides the emotional space and validation to explore the more challenging elements of counseling. She listens well, delicately probes, and asks pertinent questions that allow for looking at things from alternative perspectives.
I came to Vicky to help me with my stress about my busy life and sometimes my family problems. She is a great source of ranting to when I can't tell something to a friend or family member. She is very kind.
