Victoria Rose, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
My name is Victoria Rose, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been licensed since 2018 in California and have worked in psychology and child and family services since 1997, both in the US and internationally. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix. My approach I am an eclectic therapist who meets clients where they are, with primary modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), solution-focused skills, and motivational work. I also enjoy working with couples. My focus I primarily work with individuals dealing with anxiety and trauma. Additionally, I have a special interest in working with veterans, as I was raised in a military family. My communication style I provide a calm and welcoming environment with open and honest communication. Clients are always free to vent if they need to. My journey to mental healthcare I was drawn to psychology after witnessing my father's PTSD from the Vietnam War and observing untreated anxiety in multiple family members during my childhood. I also realized I could incorporate my first career as a professional dancer to assist clients with energy work. My goals for you Clients determine their own treatment goals, though DBT's focus on increased emotion regulation, mindfulness skills, and goal achievement through rational decision-making supports most treatment objectives. My first session with you The initial session involves assessment, gathering historical information, risk assessment, and goal setting.
