Getting to know Yael Gonicman
Hello! It is truly a pleasure to have the possibility of working with you. Anxiety, trauma, and depression can make us feel lost, and the road through is muddy and overwhelming. This is why having a guide who understands you and meets you where you are is incredibly important. With a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University, it is my goal to help you navigate this voyage, holding and working through complex emotions as they fight with each other while cohabitating in the same space. I look forward to taking those first steps with you and embarking on this journey together.
What should a new client know about working with you?
From our first session I value a collaborative approach. You are the expert of your own life and I can provide expertise to help you navigate the challenges of that life. I will meet you where you are at and create an individualized approach so that we can help you meet your goals in the most genuine and sustainable way possible. We will learn to understand and accept every part of ourselves in order to develop skills and attributes such as curiosity, calm, and compassion.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
