Awkward and impersonal. Felt very simplistic and rehearsed, rather than connecting with me and my story and experiences.

Zoe was very attentive to my feelings and listened to all of my thoughts, I really look forward to continue sessions with her! I really appreciated it!
There was no guidance in how the session would go or how we can work towards improving or getting past my issues. The first session she gave me “homework” to make a list of my goals, but no direction of how to get there and any issues I was having she couldn’t help me through. She just listened. When I asked for feedback or how I can improve, her response was short and unhelpful. I had two sessions and both times I left feeling like I didn’t get anything out of it and felt as if it was a waste of my time. It honestly was a disappointment. I’ve had therapy over the phone once before, and the 20 mins on the phone the therapist taught me about boundaries and setting them. I understand every therapist is different but I didn’t get anywhere with Zoe after two sessions. She suggested to see a psychiatrist who can prescribe me meds for my overactive mind. I take meds for ADD already, but I think there are other solutions to helping someone rather than basically saying ‘you need meds.’
