Laurel Behavioral Health
Laurel Behavioral Health provides personalized psychiatric and addiction treatment for adults in Laurel, Maryland.
Led by Syed Naqvi, M.D., a board-certified psychiatrist with more than 25 years of experience, the practice combines extensive experience in general psychiatry with specialized expertise in addiction treatment. Dr. Naqvi completed his Addiction Psychiatry fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School and his Psychiatry residency at Yale University School of Medicine.
We treat depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders, including opioid, alcohol, nicotine, cannabis, benzodiazepine, and stimulant use.
For patients struggling with addiction, treatment focuses on recovery without judgment. Medication-assisted treatment, including buprenorphine (Suboxone) for opioid use disorder, is available when clinically appropriate. Dr. Naqvi has extensive experience with buprenorphine and has trained hundreds of physicians in its use.
Our philosophy is simple: listen first, understand the whole person, and develop a treatment plan that fits the patient's individual needs. Medication is prescribed thoughtfully, with ongoing follow-up to monitor progress and adjust treatment when needed.
