Maurice Preter MD

Dr. med. Maurice Preter, MD is a European and U.S. educated psychiatrist, psychotherapist, psychopharmacologist, neurologist, and medical-legal expert. He is also the principal of Fifth Avenue Concierge Medicine, PLLC, a medical concierge service and health advisory for select individuals and families. After attending the University of Munich (Germany) and the Sorbonne of Paris (France), Dr. Preter received his postgraduate specialty training in neurology and psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and is dually Board-certified in both specialties (neuropsychiatrist). Throughout his long career as a clinician-scientist, he has studied, and written about a wide range of topics, including stroke, sleep disorders, epilepsy, panic disorder, psychological trauma, the diagnosis and psychotherapeutic-integrated treatment of overlap conditions between neurology, psychological health and general medicine, and the history of neurology in China. Dr. Preter continues to be active in private practice, as medical-legal consultant to private and public entities, and as health advisor. Dr. Preter is fluent in English, French, and German.
